We
had both read many self-discovery books and had tried many
different programs before finding the Avatar course.
We both were on our spiritual paths and by doing Avatar
together we found a common language to speak. The
exercises and processes from the course assisted us with
any obstacles we encountered in our relationship from
kids, to work, money, or where to live. After completing
Section 3 of the course and experiencing the Identity
Handle, we found we had a tool to help us when we were
pointing a finger at the other and blaming them for our
problem.
As we have worked over the past eight
years with people and their relationship issues, we have
found the biggest roadblocks to a successful partnership
are integrity issues and resisted identities. In our
personal work we have found two tools from the course to
be especially helpful. Doing a Thoughtstorm as a
couple about the purpose of our relationship, the next
step in our relationship, or any other issue where we need
alignment, has been very helpful as a way to move us
forward as a team.
The other tool we use weekly is the
Integrity Program which is one of the Mini-Courses.
It consists of readings and an exercise from ReSurfacing
called Self Deception Signals. This Mini-course has
helped us to clear any areas that have kept us separate in
the past and has made us aware when we are operating from
bad intentions rather than our good intentions. By
being honest and going through the processes, we have
learned compassion and forgiveness and have experienced
falling in love again over and over.
